David S. Brown

Partner & CEO

David S. Brown is a global energy leader whose career spans more than 40 years of shaping strategy, driving innovation, and delivering operational excellence across the industry's most complex arenas, from offshore deepwater to onshore unconventional and midstream operations.

As founder of OPEX Integrated Management, LLC, David has built a reputation for pairing technical expertise with strategic vision, guiding companies toward stronger performance and long-term growth. Previously, as Vice President at TETRA Technologies, he directed multiple business units generating more than $200 million in annual revenue and managed a wide range of service operations with precision and impact.

Earlier in his career, David held global leadership roles with FMC Technologies and its affiliates, where he led international teams and advanced capabilities in some of the industry's most challenging environments. Beyond his executive leadership, he has played a key role in advancing the field itself, serving 16 years on the Deepwater Intervention Forum board and contributing to the SPE Subsea Well Intervention Symposium Program.

He is also a Member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers and the American Association of Drilling Engineers, reflecting his ongoing commitment to advancing the industry and supporting professional excellence.

Peter Pappas

Partner

Peter Pappas is a growth-focused leader who has spent more than 14 years driving innovation and performance in the oil and gas industry. His career has taken him across every major play in the lower 48 states, where he has built teams, scaled businesses, and turned complex challenges into opportunities for lasting impact.

As Chief Operating Officer of Bosque Systems, LLC - an industry leader in water management for oil and natural gas - Peter spearheaded growth initiatives, guided operations, and set strategy that aligned the entire company. Under his leadership, Bosque expanded to nearly $120MM in revenue and a workforce of almost 400 people, establishing itself as a recognized force in the industry.

Before Bosque, Peter spent a decade at Willis North America as Vice President and Regional Director, where he honed his expertise in building client relationships and delivering strategic solutions across diverse markets. Peter earned his bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Oklahoma and an MBA from the Meinders School of Business at Oklahoma City University.

Todd Lechtenberger

Todd Lechtenberger is a builder of businesses and a leader who thrives at the intersection of vision and execution. His career spans Energy, Financial Services, and Health Care, where he has repeatedly turned bold ideas into measurable impact. Most recently, as founder and leader of Caracara Services LLC, Todd guided his team through the negotiation, financing, construction, and operation of a $50MM, 30MMcf/day natural gas treating facility - Brazos Amine Treater LLC - powering growth in the Delaware Basin of West Texas.

Before Caracara, Todd served as CEO and co-owner of First Med Urgent Care, scaling a dynamic health care company dedicated to accessible, quality care. With more than three decades of experience in capital markets, Todd has also held leadership roles at Bear Stearns, Wexford Capital, Harvey Family Office, and the Amalfi Fund LP, where he sharpened his ability to align financial strategy with long-term growth.

A graduate of Oklahoma State University with a degree in accounting, Todd has also pursued executive education at Columbia Business School.

Marco Preciado

Partner & SVP Business Development

Marco Preciado has a broad spectrum of energy experience spanning multiple basins across the U.S. Prior to co-founding Filos Partners, Marco spent three years as a senior executive at Bosque Systems LLC as the Regional Business & Operations Manager for the Rockies Region, managing all operations and business development across Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, and North Dakota - leading teams, expanding opportunities, and ensuring performance in some of the country's most challenging operating environments.

Prior to Bosque, he was a Construction Consultant for ONEOK Rockies Midstream from 2017-2021, focusing on the company's compressor station facilities. Marco started his career in 2010 as a Laborer in North Dakota with Loenbro, LLC rising through the ranks to Project Manager of Pipeline and Facility Construction.

Doug Sterk

Doug Sterk is an experienced financial executive with more than 25 years in public accounting, private equity, and corporate finance across the energy, technology, and manufacturing industries. He focuses on building financial strategies, supporting growth, and managing transactions that strengthen long-term performance.

Doug started his career at Arthur Andersen in Oklahoma City and later joined PwC in Dallas, where he worked on buy- and sell-side due diligence for mergers and acquisitions. He then moved into leadership roles, including CFO/Controller of a material handling company, where he helped turn the business from break-even to profitable.

He went on to serve as VP of Finance for a private equity-backed company in the diesel and lubricants sector, leading 15 acquisitions and their integrations. Doug has also held senior finance roles at American Energy Partners, Paycom, and APMEX, where he supported growth, new product launches, and a successful company sale and integration.

Matt McClintock

Analyst

Matt McClintock is an emerging leader in the energy industry with a strong background in finance, operations, and policy. He graduated summa cum laude from the University of Oklahoma with dual degrees in Finance and Energy Management, and his honors thesis on shale-driven M&A will be published in the 2026 Honors Undergraduate Research Journal.

Matt has gained broad experience across the energy value chain through roles at Kaiser-Francis Oil Company, the U.S. House of Representatives, and Echo Investment Capital. His work has spanned upstream operations, federal energy policy, oil and gas accounting, and valuation. These experiences have equipped him with a well-rounded understanding of the commercial and regulatory dynamics shaping the sector.

With his mix of technical and strategic experience, Matt brings a forward-looking perspective to the energy sector and its ongoing evolution.
