Our Story

For decades, thread designers and the American Petroleum Institute (API) have emphasized the critical role of robust thread protectors, built to withstand drops, impacts, saltwater spray, and other environmental challenges. These standards, including API 5CT, focus on durability and protection across the many stages of pipe handling, transportation, and storage.
But on the rig floor, the real challenge is not just toughness. It is speed and simplicity. The current API 5CT Standard does not fully address the workflow demands at this final stage, where efficiency and safety are paramount.
CapRite recognized this gap and developed a patented solution: a thread protector designed with a push-on, pull-off system that makes installation and removal fast, intuitive, and safe. It is still tough enough to protect threads during the final lift, but optimized for the casing and tubing makeup process at the rig floor.
The result is safer handling, fewer interruptions, and valuable time saved on every connection. By streamlining operations while maintaining reliable thread protection, CapRite helps drilling companies and energy producers enhance workflow continuity, reduce downtime, and build a safer, more efficient future by design.
